Scope
This policy explains how ORIKEI (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit orikei.com, open a product verification page under orikei.com/id/, or contact us. Services we provide to partners under separate agreements are covered by those agreements.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your address, your message and anything you choose to include.
- Technical logs. Like most websites, our servers record requests — IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time — to keep the service running and secure.
- Verification events. Described in the next section.
We do not ask for, and this website does not collect, payment details or account passwords.
Product verification pages
Some products carry an identifier that opens a verification page on orikei.com. When that page is opened we record a verification event: the product identifier, the time, and an approximate location (city or country level) derived from the IP address of the request. We do not request your device's precise location.
Verification events help confirm a product's authenticity and detect misuse, such as the same identifier appearing in unexpected places. Aggregate figures — for example the number of verifications and the number of countries — may be shown on the verification page itself. We do not use these events to identify you.
Verification pages show information provided by the product's maker. Product images may be delivered from a content delivery network.
How we use information
- To operate, secure and improve this website and our verification service.
- To reply to you and keep a record of our correspondence.
- To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in running a secure, authentic service, on your consent where you have given it, or on legal obligation.
Cookies & local storage
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other sites. Verification pages store a small marker in your browser's local storage so that repeat visits from the same browser are not counted twice. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who host and operate our infrastructure on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations, with a product's maker in aggregate form for products they registered, or where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Retention & security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Technical logs are kept for a limited period; verification events are kept for the life of the product record. Information is protected in transit with encryption and stored on access-controlled systems.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@orikei.com. We will respond within the time the law requires.
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
